Having recently taken the Superb in for a service at Garland Motors in Aldershot (01252 311818), I was back just a few weeks later. The big Skoda was recalled to fix a faulty foglamp seal and, while I was there, I asked them to tighten a loosening driver’s-door hinge. Both jobs were the first signs of weakness I’ve seen from the car, which otherwise feels as sharp as the day I first drove it. Among the Superb’s many qualities, it’s easy to overlook the car’ driver appeal, but only because its value, space and quality are so impressive.
