Ssangyong Korando review

We are running a new specification of the Ssangyong Korando crossover for a year. The new SX model has a list price of £18,975, making it the cheapest four-wheel drive variant in the range.

Our view of the Korando has not been entirely positive to date, but we are keen to see whether it make sense at the lower end of its range. The equipment list remains relatively generous with a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine, air conditioning, cruise-control and rear parking sensors.

We’ve splashed out on the £999 optional Kenwood touch screen sat-nav system, which adds Bluetooth into the bargain.

We’ve also added a towbar – Ssangyong’s are popular with caravanners and we reckon the Korando could be quite a popular workhorse for those with something to pull.
