My time with our used Qashqai is up, and, as I'll explain in the 'goodbye' video, it's been a relationship of love and model-specific hate.

Without fail, everyone borrowing it has disliked the way it drives. There aren't enough gears for decent motorway use, while the jolting clutch and sensitive throttle make it hard work in town, too.

On the other hand, there was a huge amount of praise for the Qashqai's practicality. It does what it was designed to do brilliantly – being a spacious, comfortable small family car with 4x4 looks.
