Hello, and welcome to the Paris sculpture show.
What's that you say? It's the Paris motor show? No, don't be silly, we're here on the Alfa stand and they've just unveiled a sculpture…
Yes, while most car manufacturers are trying to draw attention to their stands by unveiling new cars, Alfa has taken a different approach by revealing a sculpture. Just don't ask us why.
Actually, if you can tear yourself away from the huge sculpted structure (their description, not ours), there are some cars to ogle – albeit not new ones.
Most exciting are the 8C Competizione and 8C Spider, of which only 500 of each will be sold.
Then there's the
Mito, which shares some of the supercars' styling, but thankfully not the £100,000-plus price tags – or, Alfa hopes, sales figures.
There's also a glimpse of something new, a sporty TI version of the Brera, with a choice of 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre petrol engines, plus 159 saloon and estate models, which have been face-lifted this year.
