Paris motor show - Chevrolet's model blitz

02 October 2008
As well as the eagerly-anticipated Volt, Chevrolet has three other cars on display in Paris that are nearing sale.

Cruze
Brace yourself for a million 'Cruze Control' headlines, as that's the name for Chevrolet's all-new small family car.

Set to go on sale next spring, the five-seat saloon will initially be offered with 110bhp 1.6 or 138bhp 1.8-litre petrol engines or a 2.0-litre commonrail turbodiesel.

Prices haven't been released, but them to start at around £11,000.

Orlando
While we're on the subject of dodgy headlines, should we also mention 'Orlando blooms on Chevrolet stand'?

Officially, the Orlando is a concept car, but it's expected to become a production reality by late next year.

It's a seven-seat crossover based on the same platform as the Cruze, and is powered by a 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine with 236lb ft of pulling power.

Officials from GM, Chevrolet's parent company, expect the car to achieve at least 40mpg.

Camaro
Rewind your memory 40 years and behold this, the mighty Camaro.

Chevrolet has reworked its classic muscle car, powering it with a suitably-large 6.2-litre V8 engine boasting 395bhp.

No prices have been announced, but it's expected to go on sale in Europe in 2010.
