Fed up with all those German luxury saloons? Maserati has the perfect antidote in the shape of its new Quattroporte.
Take a peek at the front grille and you’ll notice it the slats now go up rather than across. The head- and the tail-lights have also been restyled, and the air intakes on the front bumper have been beefed up, too.
Not a lot, then, but enough to bring the Quattroporte bang up to date.
The standard model gets the same 4.2-litre V8 as the old car and will cost £79,000, but an even more potent 4.7-litre 'S' model will also be offered.
As well as a £6000 price hike over the standard car, the S gets another 30bhp, uprated brakes and stiffened suspension.
