British buyers can now order the Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 – the world’s first diesel-electric hybrid car.
Just 300 special-edition versions will be available around the world, with 35 heading to the UK.
Priced at £29,995, it will arrive here in October, a month ahead of the rest of the range, which will cost from £26,600.
The car is powered by a combination of a 2.0-litre diesel engine and a 37bhp electric motor. Together, that gives it a maximum power output of almost 200bhp, four-wheel drive, a zero-emission mode when running purely on electric power, and CO2 emissions of just 99g/km.
To set this limited edition apart from other models in the Hybrid4 range, it has tinted headlights that incorporate LED running lights, Pearl White paintwork and chrome door handles.
Inside, the special two-tone leather trim extends to the dashboard and steering wheel, while buyers also get a panoramic glass sunroof and parking sensors.
Further information is available on Peugeot’s website, where customers can also place an order for the car.
