Peugeot's new 308 small family car will cost between £11,995 and £20,045.
The five-door model is available from September and the three-door model in December.
Engines
There are six engine options: three petrols and three diesels.
The petrol engines are a 95bhp 1.4, 120bhp 1.6 and 150bhp turbocharged 1.6, while the diesels are 90bhp or 110bhp 1.6-litre units and a 136bhp 2.0.
All engines are linked to a five-speed manual gearbox, except the highest-powered diesel, which has a six-speed manual gearbox.
Maximum speeds range from 108mph to 133mph, while 0-62mph times vary from 8.8sec to 14.3sec.
Emissions figures run from from 120g/km of carbon dioxide on the 90bhp diesel-powered version to 167g/km on the 150bhp petrol-powered cars.
Trim levels
There are five trim levels: Urban, S, Sport, SE and GT.
Standard equipment on the Urban models includes power steering, electric windows and a CD player as well as driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags.
As well as these, the S version gets front foglights and air-conditioning.
Sport trim brings a driver's knee airbag, cruise control, rear electric windows, stability control, MP3 compatibility for the stereo, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The SE model has a panoramic glass roof, electric folding mirrors, dual-zone air-conditioning and 16-inch alloy wheels.
GT cars add a part-leather interior, tyre pressure sensors, swivelling headlamps, rear parking sensors, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
308 Hybrid HDI
Peugeot will showcase its 308 Hybrid HDI at this year's Frankfurt motor show, which emits just 90g/km of carbon dioxide.
The car is powered by a 110bhp 1.6-litre HDI diesel coupled with a 22bhp electric motor. It achieves 83mpg on average.
The car is likely to go on sale in 2010.
