Porsche Panamera GTS makes LA debut

This is the Porsche Panamera GTS, which made its debut at the Los Angeles motor show today.

The GTS get a 29bhp boost over the Panamera S and 4S, making it significantly faster. It blasts from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds a full half second quicker than the 4S.

The four-wheel-drive GTS comes with the PDK double-clutch semi-automatic gearbox and has a stiffer chassis to improve handling. There are also several alterations to how the car looks and sounds.

Black styling touches and large air intakes (from the Panamera Turbo) feature at the front, while a four-way spoiler sits at the rear. Black sideskirts and matt-black exhaust tailpipes add to the assertive look, while there are a host of GTS badges inside and out.

A new 'Sound Symposer' pumps noise from the GTSs air intake into the cabin, while the sports exhaust also has two flaps that make the car louder at the touch of a button.

The air suspension is set 10mm lower than on other Panameras, with stiffer shock absorbers to go with a set of 19-inch Turbo alloy wheels and red brake callipers.

The GTS also comes with the Sport Chrono package as standard, which further stiffens the springs and lowers the suspension when in Sport Plus mode.

Inside, there is a choice of five colours, and a host of leather and Alcantara to go with the 18-way adjustable sports seats.

The Panamera GTS will cost from 90,409 when it goes on sale in February.
