Porsche Panamera revealed - Introduction

Porsche has revealed its first venture into the luxury car market.

The Porsche Panamera – which aims to fuse the best aspects of a sports car, a luxury four-seater limousine and a grand tourer – was today making its first public appearance at the Shanghai motor show.

Three versions of the car, all with a 4.8-litre V8 engine, go on sale in the UK in September, and Porsche has now revealed that a V6 will follow in 2010, with a petrol-electric hybrid to follow that.
