Porsche reveals first diesel

The Porsche Cayenne will be offered with a diesel engine from February: the first time a Porsche has been sold with a diesel option.

The engine is a 240bhp 3.0-litre turbodiesel that averages 30.4mpg and emits 244g/km of carbon dioxide. The Tiptronic-S automatic gearbox will be offered as standard

Prices will be from £40,250.

Porsche also revealed that it is working on a hybrid version of the Cayenne, which it says will achieve more than 30mpg.
