Porsche's three premieres at LA show

Porsche is to reveal a new mid-engined sports car and two new 911 variants at the Los Angeles motor show next week.

The world premiere is rumoured to be the long-touted Cayman Clubsport, a stripped-out version of the current car, powered by a tuned version of the company's 3.4-litre flat-six engine.

It's also possible the Clubsport, or CS as it is expected to be known, could prove to be the swansong for the current Cayman generation.

Two new versions of the 911 will also be unveiled at the show, with the 911 Carrera GTS and the 911 Speedster going on display.

The 402bhp Carrera GTS will head the range, but will be no less efficient than the current Carrera S. Average fuel economy is 27.7mpg, while CO2 emissions are pegged to 240g/km.

Alongside the Carrera model, Porsche will also be showing its new limited-run Speedster 356. Fittingly, just 356 of the 402bhp cars will be built. The 356 takes its visual genes from its forebears, with a low-slung contour, manual hood and iconic 'double-bubble' rear compartment lid. Average fuel economy is 27.4mpg, however no CO2 figures are available.

All three cars will be revealed next Wednesday at the Los Angeles motor show.
