Ford is offering Fiesta ST hot-hatch owners substantial power hikes for their cars.
In the standard car, the 2.0-litre engine punches out 148bhp, but for £1435 plus fitting, buyers can opt for the Mountune Performance Stage 1 package, which recalibrates the engine to 163bhp.
That will also buy you a high-performance exhaust system and high-flow air intake.
If you want even more power, there's the Mountune Performance Stage 2 package, which boosts power to 182bhp. It costs £1838 plus fitting, and adds new camshafts and valve springs to the basic package.
Each package can only be fitted at specialist Ford dealers, and will be available from March 1.
The packages do not affect the vehicle warranty, and carry their own 12-month or 12,000-mile dealer warranty, which can be extended to three years or 36,000 miles.
The dealers offering the package are:
• Dagenham Motors, Woodford, London
• Brunel Ford, Bristol
• Heartlands Ford, Birmingham
• Polar Ford, Warrington
• Polar Ford, Castleford
More dealers will be added through the year. Buyers who opt for either package will need to inform their insurers of the upgrades.
• ST owners can also opt for a suspension upgrade kit, costing £605 plus fitting, and Recaro seats in suede and leather for £1951 plus fitting. These are also available from specialist Ford dealers.
