A host of road safety initiatives were applauded at the 20th anniversary Prince Michael Road Safety Awards yesterday.
A range of awards were presented at the Savoy hotel in London for everything from council and Government safety initiatives to life-saving technologies, training schemes and education programmes.
A pair of 20th anniversary awards were presented and an overall winner selected from the shortlist.
The awards were established in 1987 to improve road safety both in the UK and internationally. Prince Michael of Kent is the founder and patron.
