Interior changes include red trim on the seats, doors and steering wheel, and a redesigned dashboard, glovebox and handbrake.
Automatic central locking, a Blaupunkt CD player, rear parking sensors, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, a remotely operated boot release and door-mounted window switches are also fitted as standard.
Styling changes include a new rear spoiler, front and rear bumpers, alloy wheels and headlamps.
Discounts of between £500 and a £1000 are available to early buyers of the updated Gen-2, while all Protons come with a six-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, three-year/60,000-mile total vehicle warranty and three years of free RAC cover.
