Qoros 3 for Geneva motor show

This is the Qoros 3, which will be revealed at the Geneva motor show early next month.
The small family saloon is the Chinese companys first production car and will launch there during the second half of this year. European sales will follow later.
It is powered by a choice of two 1.6-litre petrol engines; one naturally aspirated and the other turbocharged. We expect the naturally aspirated unit to produce 126bhp with a 0-60mph time of 11.0 seconds, while the turbocharged engine should offer 156bhp and get from 0-60mph in around 9.0 seconds.
Both engines will come with a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with a dual-clutch semi-automatic box available as an option.
Qoros is also developing a three-cylinder 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a four-cylinder 1.6-litre turbo.
The 3 comes with remote central locking, electric windows, electric mirrors and the company's eight-inch touch-screen sat-nav and media system. Options will include leather seats, rear-view camera, parking sensors, xenon headlights and cruise control.
Qoros's touch-screen media system has been designed to reduce the number of buttons on its dashboard and minimise distractions for the driver. The touch-screen media system allows the driver to swipe as on smartphones and stay connected to social media networks.
The car maker is hoping to achieve top marks in its domestic crash tests and Euro NCAP for European markets.
Right-hand-drive production has yet to be confirmed, while pricing and performance figures will be released closer to the car going on sale in the second half of the year.
The saloon will be followed by estate and SUV versions, based on the same platform.
