Aston is launching a lighter, special-edition V8 Vantage called the N420.
Although it uses the standard 420bhp 4.7-litre V8 – giving it a top speed of 180mph and 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds – the N420 is 27kg lighter than the standard car thanks to the use of carbonfibre for the splitter, sills, diffuser and seats.
Priced from £96,995, the N420 is £8000 more than the standard car, but it also includes the normally optional Sports pack with its altered suspension settings for a sharper drive. A sports exhaust also gives the N420 a fruitier note.
Available with the six-speed manual or £3000 optional Sportshift semi-auto gearbox, the N420 will hit the UK's roads in August.
