Remember the Golf Match? VW's revived the name of its favourite old special-edition.

The new Golf Match replaces the old SE, and VW reckons two out of every three UK Golfs will be one. For £380 less than the SE, you get £720 worth of extra equipment, including 15in alloys, body-coloured bumpers and a three-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel.

The £14,995 Match also has a cable, hidden in the centre armrest, to link MP3 music players to the sound system.

Engine choices are the 113bhp 1.6-litre petrol and 103bhp 1.9-litre diesel, the latter costing £15,885. The Match is on sale now.
