This is the new Lexus IS. We gave What Car? readers the opportunity to see the car in the metal at an exclusive event in London.

The new IS is longer and more spacious than the car it replaces. It features a well-laid out interior and stands out from other executive cars with its aggressive styling.

There are no diesel engines available but there is a hybrid model that returns 65mpg on the combined cycle and emits less than 100g/km which will appeal to company car buyers.

The Lexus IS is on sale in the UK now. Prices start at £26,500 for the entry-level car with a £3000 premium for the hybrid version.
