This is the Renault Laguna coupe, which will go on sale this November.
The car was originally unveiled in concept form at last year's Frankfurt motor show, but the production version has lost much of the sharper styling, including the distinctive scissor doors.
However, the car is different to the Laguna hatch. It features new front wings, bonnet and bumper. At the rear, the concept car’ narrow LED tail lights have made it into production, although the shape of the bootlid has changed.
Power is provided by engines from the existing Laguna range, plus new 3.0-litre petrol and 3.5-litre diesel engines. The 232bhp 3.0-litre diesel has 332b ft of pulling power, while the 237bhp 3.5-litre petrol unit offers 243lb ft of pulling power. Both come with an automatic transmission.
Higher-spec versions will be available with Renault’s Active Drive four-wheel-steering system, as used on the Laguna GT.
Prices are expected to start at around £22,000, rising to around £27,000 for the range-topping V6 models.
