Mazda has released photos of the 5-door hatchback version of the new Mazda 3, which will be unveiled at the Bologna motor show in December.
The new engine line-up comprises of a 1.6-litre turbodiesel, 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol engines, or the new 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine that was first seen in the Mazda 6.
The new 2.2-litre turbodiesel will be offered as either a 148bhp unit, or a high-power 182bhp version. Both of these engines will be cleaner and more economical than the outgoing 2.0-litre diesel.
The new Mazda 3 will go on sale in the spring.
