Audi's revised Q7 is on sale now, with refreshed styling and cleaner engines.
The face-lift is subtle: vertical chrome bars give the front grille a more imposing look, while the new front and rear bumpers have contrasting inserts for a more rugged look.
There are also chunkier side mouldings, new front and rear light units, and a reshaped lower tailgate. Four new colours are available: Ibis White, Graphite Grey, Teak Brown and Orca Black.
A redesigned instrument cluster, extra lighting, more chrome detailing and a range of new colours and materials boost the cabin ambience.
As before, the engine range includes 3.0-litre V6, 4.2-litre V8 and 6.0-litre V12 diesels. The petrol choices are a 3.6-litre V6 or 4.2 V8.
All are more efficient, thanks to a brake energy recovery system that converts kinetic energy into electric power. Audi says that this cuts CO2 emissions by up to 5 g/km.
There's also a new 3.0-litre V6 diesel model – labelled TDI clean diesel – that's cleaner still. It has a high-performance exhaust recirculating system, a special catalytic converter and a system that injects and additive called AdBlue into the exhaust flow. All of which reduces nitrogen oxide emissions and gives average fuel economy of 31.7mpg.
The updated Q7 is available to order now, with first deliveries expected in July. Prices start at £38,575 for the entry-level 3.0 TDI and there's a £1500 premium for the clean diesel version. The 6.0 V12 TDI tops the range at £94,850.
