Hummer has started building the H3 in South Africa for export to new markets, including the UK.
From the middle of next year it will be making the car as a right-hand-drive model - a first for Hummer.
The H3 is the smallest Hummer – around the same size as most larger European 4x4s. It's powered by a 3.7-litre, 241bhp five-cylinder engine, connected to a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox.
To make a real impression on the European market, it's going to need a diesel engine, so parent company General Motors is said to be considering an Isuzu unit.
The H3 is expected to cost around £30,000. It will most likely be sold from a handful of new, bespoke dealers in the UK.
