Renault has launched a five-seat, entry-level, special edition version of its Espace MPV costing under £20,000.
Rush models are available with the 140bhp, 2.0-litre petrol engine for £18,995 and the 120bhp 1.9-litre turbodiesel for £19,995. Our Target Price mystery shoppers reckon you should be able to secure a discount of 10% off both cars.
These prices undercut a seven-seat Espace Authentique model by £655, but extra equipment worth £1250 is fitted to the cars. This includes 17-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, roof bars, a spoiler, and a leather steering wheel.
Buyers can turn the car into a seven-seater with the £600 Family Pack, which adds a third row of two seats and an extra pair of airbags.
Standard equipment is otherwise the same as an Authentique, with dual-zone air-conditioning, CD player, electric door mirrors, electric windows and front, side and curtain airbags for the first two rows of seats.
The Espace Rush is available now, and will be available until March 2006.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
