Clarion MAP370

Best Price £149.99 (Caraudio4less.net)
For Plenty of features, very quick and a fine navigator.
Against Costs more than the Mio and TomTom, and the cradle is a big drawback.
Verdict Definitely worth a look if you'd make use of an MP3 player or photo viewer.

On paper, the Clarion should give the top two a run for their money.

The maps and most of the software are almost identical to those of the Mio C220, and you get an MP3 player, photo viewer and a slightly bigger screen all for an extra £20.

The unit didn't look or feel quite as nice as the C220, though, and the cradle suffered from heavy vibration when testing.

The menus were quick and easy to navigate, but weren't quite as well designed as the Mio's, and could have done with being a shade or two lighter for better visibility.

Having said that, the screen itself was very bright and marginally better than the Mio's at dealing with glare.

If you'd make use of the extra features, the Clarion is a fine unit.

If you just want to get from A to B, however, the MAP370 isn't as good or as keenly priced as the TomTom or Mio.
