Whatcar.com has uncovered some particularly tempting offers on Mercedes C- and E-Class models, but you'll have to register your new car before the end of December to take advantage.

With dealers chasing end-of-year bonuses for selling their quota of cars, broker Carfile can offer any model from the saloon and estate ranges, apart from AMG performance versions, for 10% off the list price.

Usually discounts are restricted to around 7%, but this 10% cut adds up to sizeable savings worth as much as £4800 on an E500 estate.
