Save thousands on our favourite small SUVs

Three of our favourite small SUVs are the stars of this week's round-up of the best new car deals on the web. Whether you're looking for a budget car or a plush four-wheel-drive SUV, we've found discounts that will save you thousands.

Your budget is less than £15,000

The Renault Captur has a spacious and user-friendly cabin, with rear seats that slide and an adjustable boot floor. The engines need to be worked quite hard, but they’re never boomy, which helps to make this one of the quietest cars of its kind. The cabin does feel rather cheap, but even Expression+ trim is good value for money.

You can save £2064 on the 1.5 dCi Expression+ model with Carfile.net, which means you’ll pay just £13,331.

Your budget is 15,000-£20,000

The new Nissan Qashqai is an outstanding all-rounder, which is why it’s our 2014 Car of the Year. It has agile and secure handling, yet still rides well. It’s available with smooth engines and is brilliant at shutting out wind and road noise. If you’re a low-mileage user, stick with the 1.2 DIG-T petrol. Acenta trim has all the equipment you need.

Go to Drivethedeal.com to save £2223 on the 1.2 DIG-T Acenta model, and pay just £16,922.

Your budget is more than £20,000

If your budget stretches beyond a Qashqai, there are several premium-badged models to choose from, but the Audi Q3 is our favourite. Behind the rather mundane styling is a car with strong, flexible performance and a smartly-trimmed cabin. Entry-level SE cars have the most comfortable ride, but still get lots of equipment as standard.

You can buy one of our favourite Q3s, the 2.0 TDI 140 quattro SE, for £24,411 with Drivethedeal.com – a saving of £2629.
