BMW and Mini are matching the government’s £1000 with a £1000 contribution of their own, giving a total saving of £2000 to those trading in old cars.

BMW dealers are also offering £1,260 towards a 116i Sport 3dr if bought on the BMW Select finance scheme – the required deposit – or a free upgrade from ES to Sport specification for 1-Series models.

Mini dealers are also offering a five-year Mini tlc servicing package for just £185.
