Seat has launched a diesel version of its Ibiza FR.
The hot hatch will be come in two bodystyles: a three-door SC version or a more practical five-door.
Sporty diesel engine
The FR's 141bhp turbodiesel engine propels it from 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds for the three-door, and a tenth of a second more in the five-door. Top speed is 130mph, or 129mph for the five-door model.
A six-speed manual gearbox is fitted as standard to the common-rail diesel engine.
Billed by Seat as 'fast yet frugal', the car's average fuel economy is 62.7mpg, while CO2 emissions of 119g/km will ensure cheaper bills for company drivers – and exemption from road tax.
Equipment and prices
All new Ibiza FR diesels will include climate control, stability control and FR styling throughout.
The Ibiza FR is available now, from £16,465. Deliveries start in March.
