Seat's new Altea XL will cost from £12,995 when it goes on sale in the UK next January.
The bigger-booted Altea is £630 more than the standard car. Besides the entry-level 1.6-litre petrol in Reference trim, buyers have six other Stylance models to choose from, with prices reaching £18,045 for a 168bhp 2.0-litre diesel.
The XL is 18.7cm longer than a normal Altea and can carry 123 litres of extra luggage at 409 litres. The rear seats can also be slid forward by 14cm to increase capacity to 645 litres, while 1604 litres is available when they're folded down.
