Honda knows its new Legend will have to be something special to beat rivals such as the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series.

The Legend is packed with technology, the most significant of which is Honda's Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive System. Honda's return to the executive market means that this time buyers should take the Legend seriously.

What?: Cadillac BLS When?: April 2006 How much? From £21,000 (est)
This is Cadillac's attempt to join the mainstream, and as such, it is aimed straight at the BMW 3 Series. It is based on the Saab 9-3, but only time will tell if it will capture the buying public's imagination.
