The all-new Skoda Octavia Estate will offer more space and practicality when it is revealed at the Geneva motor show in March 2013.
The current car has class-leading boot capacity of 605 litres, and the new version is expected to improve that to an estimated 615 litres. It is likely that current options such as the variable load floor will be carried over to the new car giving the boot a flat load area when in place.
UK prices have not yet been confirmed but it is likely that estate will be approximately £1000 more than the hatch equivalent, which means it will start around £15,000.
As with previous models, Skoda will also be offering sporty vRS versions of the upcoming Octavia. The vRS versions will have sporty touches both inside and out including bodykits and bespoke alloy wheels.
The vRS models also benefit from the most powerful engines in the range while commanding a premium of about £1000 over the less sporting versions. It is likely that the petrol vRS will get the VW Golf GTI’s 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 217bhp. Skoda will unveil the hot versions of the Octavia at Goodwood’s Festival of Speed in July 2013.
We have recently had the opportunity to drive disguised, pre-production versions of Skoda’ Octavia hatch that is to be released in the UK in spring 2013. Photos of the production Octavia will be released on December 11.
