Skoda has decided to better today's 2.5% drop in VAT by cutting 17.5% off the price of all its current Octavias.

The offer is until December 31, and includes the L&K, Scout and vRS models. The discount will be applied to all options and vehicle delivery charges.

However, potential buyers are reminded that a face-lifted Octavia goes on sale in January, which means Skoda dealers are particularly keen to sell current models.

With this being the case, buyers should still haggle hard on the discounted price.
