Skoda has unveiled the all-new Fabia supermini ahead of its launch in the UK next May.
The car will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next March. Estate versions join the range early in 2008.
The Fabia's bigger than ever before, so Skoda claims it will offer class-leading amounts of leg and headroom in the back, while boot capacity has also increased. With the seats in place there's 300 litres of space, 40 litres more than today, while 1163 litres of room is available with them folded away.
Seven engines will be available from launch. Four petrols offer between 60bhp and 105bhp, while diesels develop 70bhp, 80bhp or 105bhp. Full specification details won't be available until closer to launch, but side airbags will be fitted to every car in the range along with dual front airbags.
A six-speed automatic transmission and full-automatic climate control will be offered as options for the first time.
