Skoda will unveil a Superb estate at next month's Frankfurt motor show.
The new estate will be based on the latest Superb, but instead of the current car's distinctive hatchback/saloon tailgate there'll be a traditional estate rear end.
Lots of load space
Just one picture has been released, which reveals a shadowy outline similar to Skoda's Octavia estate.
The image portrays an estate that looks sleeker than some, but thanks to the hatchback's generous dimensions, we reckon the Superb estate will be one of the most practical in its class.
No figures have been released, but we'd expect the Superb estate to rival the Ford Mondeo estate for luggage capacity, and we wouldn't be surprised if it also took on large executive estates such as the Audi A6 Avant and Volvo V70 for load space.
Skoda hasn't confirmed prices yet, but we expect them to start at just over £17,000.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
