Skoda Superb: the finished product?

02 November 2007

These computer-generated images show how the finished Skoda Superb hatchback and estate models may look when it goes on sale in the UK in September.

The flagship Skoda model, which the company hopes will attract potential Ford Mondeo buyers, is an all-new car. Heavily disguised models are currently undergoing final hot-weather testing in Death Valley, USA.

Although details remain unconfirmed, the petrol engine line-up is likely to include a 120bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged unit, a 160bhp 1.8-litre turbo, a 197bhp 2.0-litre and a 3.6-litre V6.

Diesels are expected to include two 2.0-litre options with either 138 or 168bhp, and possibly 2.7-litre and 3.0-litre units.
