This image of a two-seater Renault city car could be one result of the collaboration announced between the Renault-Nissan alliance and Mercedes-Benz.
The tie-in between the companies was announced this spring and will result in cars on common platforms from the different brands.
Our computer-generated image shows what Renault's version of the 2012 all-new Smart Fortwo could look like.
As well as sharing platforms, the companies are also set to work together on electric drivetrains, battery technology and engine development.
