Sirion sport

A sportier-looking version of the Daihatsu Sirion supermini is arriving in April.

The £9290 SX model is £895 more expensive than the current SE range-topper it's based on, and features styling extras including a mesh grille, side skirts and a rear tailgate spoiler.

Front foglamps are also added to the usual SE equipment roster, which includes front and side airbags, air conditioning, alloy wheels, four electric windows and a CD player.

Performance from the 86bhp 1.3-litre petrol engine is unchanged, which means a 0-60mph time of 10.9sec, top speed of 106mph and combined economy of 58.9mpg.
