Renault Twingo On sale September Price £8000-11,000 The good news is that Renault's cute city car is coming to the UK at last - the bad news is that it's only coming in sporty, high-specification versions to tempt younger buyers. Smart Fortwo On sale Mid-2007 Price £7000-£14000 Coupe and cabriolet versions of the next-generation two-seater from Smart both arrive next summer. It's a little bit bigger than before, so a bit more practical, and will come with a choice of 61-, 71- or 84bhp petrol engines. Smart is still deciding whether it will also launch a 45bhp diesel capable of 81mpg.
Vauxhall Corsa VXR On sale March Price £15,000 A 200bhp hot hatch is just the thing to take on other fast rivals such as the Renault Clio 197.
