The Audi is now available with the latest 53mpg-plus 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine.

Audi's new combination of coupe styling and economy comes with front-wheel drive, or four-wheel drive.

The front-wheel drive has a 0-60mph time of 8.3sec and a top speed of 140mph, while the quattro version makes 60mph from rest in 8.2sec.

Average fuel consumption for the two models is 53.3mpg and 47.9mpg, respectively. CO2 is 140g/km for the front-wheel drive version and 156g/km for the quattro.

Prices start at £28,485 for the front-wheel drive, with the quattro version on-the-road for £30,010. Audi also offers the A5 with Sport and S line upgrades, priced at £950 and £2250 for the latter.

Sport upgrades include lowered, stiffened suspension, sports seats and 18in alloy wheels. S line upgrades consist of 18-inch S line alloys, an exclusive S line front and rear bumper design, side sill extensions, S line treatments for the interior and xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights.

S line drivers also receive the option of an additional suspension upgrade at no extra cost.
