Prices for the new Subaru XV have been announced.
The all-new XV is a rival for compact SUVs like the Nissan Qashqai and VW Tiguan; prices start at £21,295.
All XV models come with permanent four-wheel drive. There a three engines to choose from; a 113bhp 1.6-litre petrol, a 148bhp 2.0-litre petrol and a 145bhp 2.0-litre diesel.
A five- or six-speed manual gearbox is standard. A ‘Lineartronic’ CVT automatic gearbox is available for both petrol engines.
The entry-level 1.6i S model costs £21,295. Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, climate control, heated front seats and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Extras on SE trim include cruise control, a rear-view camera, dual-zone air-conditioning, privacy glass, Bluetooth and USB/iPod connectivity.
Top-of-the-range SE Lux Premium versions have a sunroof, keyless entry, electric driver’s seat adjustment, push-button start, leather upholstery and sat-nav.
