Suzuki is taking the wraps off four concept cars ahead of this month’s Tokyo Motor Show, and at least one of them could appear as a production car in the UK within two years.
The bizarrely titled Mom’s Personal Wagon is a concept version of the next 660cc MR Wagon, which is only sold on the Japanese market. The new car is not only larger, but also features a 1.0-litre engine. Suzuki insiders admit that the new car could now be sold in Europe. Expect the MR Wagon replacement within two years.
Also on show is the PX six-seater minivan, which Suzuki claims has a roomy high-class environment for the family. Suzuki says it will gauge reaction at the show, before making a decision on production.
Other concepts include the Ionis fuel-cell minicar, which also features wireless internet access and satellite TV, and then the LC retro-styled two-seater, which Suzuki claims is both cute and unpretentious. It is unlikely that either will ever reach dealerships.
