Tesla's all-electric Roadster is now available with right-hand drive for the UK market.
Electrifying performance
The Tesla Roadster's 288bhp electric motor shoots the car from 0-60mph in just 3.7 seconds and on to a limited top speed of 125mph.
Pricey to buy, cheap to run
Although the Tesla Roadster costs from £86,950 to buy, running costs work out at just 1.5p per mile, compared with 85p per mile for a Porsche Boxster.
Tesla says the Roadster can travel more than 200 miles on a single charge in mixed driving conditions, and can be fully charged in around eight hours through a domestic plug socket.
Uniquely for a sports car, the Roadster benefits from a 100% write-down allowance, meaning that UK companies will be able to deduct the price of the car from their taxable profits.
The car is exempt from London's Congestion Charge and can park for free in certain London boroughs.
Tesla's showroom is in Knightsbridge, London.
