Tesla: electric supercar driven - Introduction

The Tesla Roadster has performance figures that put other electric cars in the shade -and embarrass many a supercar.

It’s taken a little longer to arrive than expected after a few problems with the transmission, but you can now order one. First deliveries start next May.

You’ll have to hurry, however, with just 250 Signature Edition cars initially being made available for Europe on a first-come, first-served basis.

UK buyers are expected to take about a quarter of these cars.
