This is the Fiat 500 Abarth esseesse – the hottest version of the supermini yet.

It has a full body kit, tweaked suspension, an uprated engine and bigger wheels, and will be unveiled at the Paris motor show next week.

Although details have yet to be released, Autocar is reporting that the 1.4-litre engine will have around 160bhp.

It is expected to go on sale in the UK is late January.

No prices have been announced, but they are expected to start from around £16,000.
