The in-car microwave

08 May 2008

Fancy a chicken curry on the go? Well, now you can have one, thanks to an in-car microwave that has been launched in the UK.

The WaveBox is described by its makers as the world's first portable microwave, and runs off a standard 12-volt power socket or by connection to a 12V battery.

The microwave comes with a coolbox that sits inside the oven, keeping food cool before it needs to be cooked. The whole unit weighs 6.8kg.

The WaveBox costs £150.
