Subaru has a brace of concept cars on show in Tokyo.
First is the Exiga Concept, which is described as resembling a larger Legacy estate. The photos don't do its size justice, however. It's an MPV that can sit seven adults, making it nearer to the size of a Mercedes R-Class than just a big estate car.
It's powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox, and its panoramic roof goes all the way back to the tailgate.
The second concept car is called G4e and is Subaru's green car for the Japanese show. The five-seater hatch is powered by lithium-ion batteries stored underneath the floor. The car is expected to have a range of 200km (124 miles).
