Top 10 Frankfurt show cars coming soon - Kia Rio 3dr

Kia has revealed its new Rio 3dr at the Frankfurt motor show. The Kia Rio 5dr was launched earlier this month and the three-door version will offer lower prices and a slightly different model line-up.

The five-door model is the same size as the five-door version and comes with the same engine line-up: two petrols (a 1.25 and a 1.4) and two diesels (a 1.1 and 1.4).

Running costs should also be pretty similar, with CO2 emissions expected to be as low as 85g/km and fuel consumption as impressive as 88.2mpg in the Ecodynamics model.

The Rio three-door version goes on sale in early 2012: Kia hasn’t confirmed UK prices yet.

The model line-up is yet to be finalised, but Kia says that there’s likely to be an aggressively priced entry-level model, then a choice of either sporty or luxurious trim.
