The Toyota GT86 TRD is the first limited-edition version of the sports coupe, and features several styling upgrades.
This GT86 TRD comes with styling and performance elements from the company's in-house tuning arm, Toyota Racing Development (TRD), and will be limited to 250 examples in the UK.
Most of the additions are cosmetic, but it does get a quad exhaust system that boosts power by 2bhp to 199bhp. Performance is unchanged though; the GT86 with the six-speed manual gearbox does 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds while the auto does it in 8.4 seconds. Top speed remains 140mph for the manual and 130mph for the auto.
Exterior styling add-ons include 18-inch alloy wheels and sideskirts. Inside, the GT86 gets a TRD gearlever, while elsewhere there's a TRD-branded radiator cap and fuel filler cover. None of these additions is available on the standard car's options list.
It comes with the same standard equipment as the regular car, which includes a limited-slip differential, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate control, aluminium pedals, sports seats, cruise control and the Toyota Touch multimedia system.
The GT86 TRD is available in black or pearl white and costs from £31,495 for the manual and £32,995 for the auto.
Order books open on March 1, and the first cars should be delivered later in the month.
