Toyota's Hilux pick-up will be able to keep up with rivals from Nissan and Mitsubishi, thanks to a new 3.0-litre diesel engine.
The 169bhp unit puts the Hilux in the same ballpark as key rivals including the 169bhp Nissan Navara and 160bhp Mitsubishi L200.
The 0-62mph time of the Hilux is still a little slower than its competitors at 12.0sec, but fuel consumption is, however, with 34mpg on the combined cycle.
Prices start at £19,822, although if you register the pick-up through your business you can reclaim the VAT and save nearly £3000.
